Bandits Kill 12 Vigilantes, Abduct Four In Zamfara Attack

Armed bandits attacked Sabuwar Tunga community in Adabka ward, Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State on Tuesday, abducting four people.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the local vigilantes swiftly mobilized and repelled the initial attack.
However, as they pursued the attackers into the forest, the bandits launched an ambush, killing 12 vigilante members.
A security source in the area confirmed the incident, stating that the bandits overpowered the vigilantes during the ambush, inflicting heavy casualties before retreating deeper into the forest.
“The community initially repelled them, but unfortunately, the bandits regrouped and ambushed our men, leading to the tragic loss of 12 members,” the source said.
