Opuoru Assures On Cleaner Environment In Delta

The Special Adviser to Governor Oborevwori on Environment, Chief Hon Matthew Poko Opuoru has assured of a cleaner environment in Delta State.
Opuoru who was the immediate past member representing Warri South Constituency 11 at the Delta House of Assembly, gave the assurance in an exclusive media chat with our correspondent on the ongoing cleaning of canals in Warri on Thursday 7th August , 2025.
He noted that a clean environment will boost the health of Deltans.
“Health is wealth. That is why a clean environment is foremost in the MORE Agenda of His Excellency Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.
“He (Governor Oborevwori) will keep no stone unturned in ensuring a clean environment in Delta State,” he added.
Opuoru however advised Deltans to reciprocate the gesture of Governor Oborevwori by keeping their environment clean at all times.
To this end, he strongly admonished against indiscriminate dumping of refuse, as he warned that offenders would be made to face the wrath of the law.

The Special Adviser to Governor Oborevwori on Environment also stated that Governor Oborevwori has zero tolerance for environmental pollution, as he noted that environmental pollution is injurious to health.
Opuoru therefore warned that multi nationals, other operators of industries and indeed all Deltans should guide against environmental pollution in Delta State.
