Dangote Refinery Announces Date To Suspend Sale Of Petrol In Naira
Dangote Refinery will suspend selling petrol in Naira starting tomorrow, September 28, 2025.
In a message to its customers, the refinery announced that it has already exhausted its crude oil allocations priced in Naira, which means it can no longer sell petrol in the local currency.
The Group Commercial Operations mentioned in the memo, “We cannot sustain PMS sales in Naira going forward.”
The refinery requested that customers involved in current Naira transactions formally ask for refunds. They assured them that additional information will be provided once the issue is resolved and Naira sales recommence.
