Sharma School Holds Resumption Service

Sharmar School, a pace-setter school in Enerhen , Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State held a resumption service for learners for the 2025/ 2026 academic session on Monday, 15th September, 2025.
The epoch making event featured singing of congressional hyms, a sermon on the school’s 2025/2026 academic session theme of Higher Ground, interssory prayers, prophetic ministration, decoration of the school’s executive for the 2025/ 2026 session and cutting of the 2025/ 2026 academic session’s cake among others.
The sitting chairman of Sharma School, Ambassador Dr. ( Mrs ) Onyi Ikemefuna who spoke to our correspondent in an exclusive media chat, explained that Sharma school is a Christian school and as such recognizes the fact that God is supreme and “we needed to hand over all our activities for the new 2025/2026 academic session into the hands of God.
“This is what we do at the beginning of every academic session . Last year’s theme was Moving Forward and Upward and to God be the glory our learners who sat for external examinations last year, performed excellently in the subjects they wrote.”
“This is a testimony to the fact that God has moved us into higher ground. This informed the theme of this year’s resumption service”, she added.
The school’s pastor, Cyprian Ugorji who is an Associate Pastor at Living Faith Church (aka Winners Chapel), Ekpan, Uvwie Local Government Area branch, had eruditely given a sermon on the theme of the event, ‘Higher Ground’ as he remarked that Sharma School is a private mission for putting God first in all its activities.
The prophetic ministration session of the colourful event was anchored by a renowned cleric, Pastor Dr Ambassador Edewor Egedegbe who prophesized greater heights for the famous school in the 2025/ 2026 academic session.
Similarly, the Chairman of Sharma School, Greg Ikemefuna, an engineer, in his brief speech, prayed for learners, teachers and staff of the school, as he stated that parents made the wise choice of sending their wards to the school.

Another special guest, Elder Joseph Beredemo spoke words of wisdom briefly at the event. He however admonished that there is no short course to success.
Beredemo therefore urged the school to work harder to improve on its achievements in the new academic session.
There were goodwill messages from parents, teachers, staff and guests.
High points of the event were the cutting of the resumption cake by learners, staff, guests and the decoration of executive of learners for the new academic session.
Some learners who spoke to our correspondent shortly after the event stated that they were thankful to their parents for sending them to one of the best private schools in the state.
Likewise some parents who also spoke to our correspondent, expressed gratitude to God for making the right choice of school for their children.
