NUC Approves 16 New Academic Programmes For DELSU

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved sixteen (16) new academic programmes for Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka.
This was disclosed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr. Henry Eseka, on Thursday, during the 114th Inaugural Lecture of the institution.
According to him, the new academic programmes include Architecture, Surveying and Geo-informatics, Building, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Environmental Management & Toxicology and Public Health.

Furthermore, Eseka hinted that in addition, the University offers several Degree and Diploma-awarding Programmes through its specialized Centres and Directorates, such as: Centre for Open and Distance Learning (CODEL): Bachelor of Nursing Science Programme; Centre for Entrepreneurship: Various professional certifications; Institute of Education: Diploma in Education (DIE) and Postgraduate Diploma in Education(PGDE); Intensive/Part-Time Directorate: For holders of HND, OND and SSCE; Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB): For Direct Entry admission into 200 Level; Centre for Continuing Education Programme (CCEP): Diploma programmes in Science, Law, Engineering, Social Sciences, Agricultural Science, and more; DELSU Business School: Executive Masters and Doctorate Programmes; Pre-Degree and Postgraduate Studies (Regular & Weekend).
Speaking further, the PRO said that admissions are currently ongoing into JUPEB, Pre-Degree, Postgraduate (Regular & Weekend), Intensive/Part-Time, Diploma (Education), New Diploma, Professional Diploma, DELSU-CODEL, DELSU Business School (Asaba Campus-Weekend, Intensive, PGD, M.Sc., Ph.D., Professional MBA & DBA) and Continuing Education (C.E.)Programmes.
