DTHA Deputy Speaker, Akpowowo, Felicitates Ovie Of Udu Kingdom On Presentation Of Staff Of Office

The Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olorogun Barr Arthur Akpowowo, has felicitated with His Royal Majesty, Engr. Mike Oghenovo, Okporua I, the Ovie of Udu Kingdom, on the formal presentation of his Staff of Office by the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori.
Rt. Hon. Akpowowo, who led members of the Delta State House of Assembly from the Urhobo extraction to the colourful ceremony, described the occasion as a historic milestone in the annals of Udu Kingdom and a testament to the peace, unity, and progressive spirit of Udu people.
Lawmakers who accompanied the Deputy Speaker include Hon. Chief Perkins Umukoro Awolowo, Member representing Sapele State Constituency, Hon. Chief James Augoye, PhD, Member representing Okpe State Constituency, Hon. Festus Otuama, Member representing Ughelli South State Constituency, Hon. Matthew Omonade, Member representing Ughelli North Constituency, Hon. Edafe Emakpor, Member representing Uvwie State Constituency, Hon. Collins Egbetama, Member representing Udu State Constituency and host lawmaker.

In his congratulatory message, Rt. Hon. Akpowowo commended His Royal Majesty, Engr. Mike Oghenovo, Okporua I, for his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the peace, unity, and development of Udu Kingdom.
He also applauded the people of Udu for their steadfast loyalty to the traditional institution and their collective efforts in preserving their rich cultural heritage.
The Deputy Speaker prayed that the reign of His Royal Majesty, Engr. Mike Oghenovo, Okporua I, will usher in enduring peace, prosperity, and greater development for the kingdom and its people.
Gov. Oborevwori was represented by the Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme.
