UK Court Jails Nigerian Student For Rape Of Teenage Girl

A UK court has jailed Nigerian postgraduate student Chiemka Okoronta for raping a 17-year-old girl in Bradford.

The attack happened after a night bus ended its trip early in Leeds on March 25, leaving both stranded. Okoronta offered the girl a taxi ride, took her to his flat instead, and assaulted her.

The judge described him as a “dangerous s3xual predator.” He will be deported to Nigeria after serving his prison term and will remain on the sexual offenders register for life.
