Garden Of Life Assembly Organizes Annual Thanksgiving In Grandstyle

It was an atmosphere of jubilation as Garden of Life Assembly (a.k.a City of No Lack) in Effurun in Uvwie Local Government Area organized Annual Thanksgiving.

The programme which took place today, Sunday was unique in its respect.

In his address, the General Overseer and Founder of the Ministry, Archbishop Philip Orovwuje said human beings can’t thank God enough for the good things He has done for him.

According to him,if not for the grace of God, it would have been difficult for the people to remain alive till today hence, he said, God Almighty is worthy of praise.

He said: “You will agree with me that it is the grace of God that has kept us alive till date,so He is worthy of our praise and adoration always”.

The Cleric who joy was written all over his body said, the church would continue to give thanks for God for His abundance protection and grace upon the lives of the members of the church from the inception of the Ministry till this day.

He charged all and sundry to always trust in God for the protection and gift of life. He expressed gratitude to the members of the church for their contributions in one way or the other towards the church for many years which has made the ministry to have grown to this day just as he charged members to continue to do their best to see that, by the grace of God, the church grows from strength to strength.

Earlier in his sermon on the theme of this year’s Thanksgiving:” The Grateful Heart”, Bishop Wilson Umukoro said,it is a good thing to give thanks to God. According to him, to have grateful heart is to appreciate God for what He has done for man. The Cleric said, to have grateful heart is to be joyful for what God has done for humanity. He said, some people are not happy because they feel that God has not done anything that worth them thankful to Him whereas,only to sleep and wake up in the morning is worth enough to be grateful as not all persons who started 2025 are still alive today.

The Cleric charged all children of God to be happy as anybody who fails to be happy has automatically given room for himself or herself to be sad as many people who are enemies of progress are not happy if their fellows are happy.

His words:”The Devil doesn’t want to see you happy so, he does everything to make you sad. But as a child of God, be happy always. That alone would make the Devil to be ashamed and run away from you”.

Bishop Umukoro who quoted many verses from the Holy Bible which include: John 12: 1-8, Deuteronomy 28:47-48, Psalm 50:5, 15, Psalm 92: 1-end, among others, said, it is good to serve God at all times and give thanks to God Almighty always.
He said,the more humans appreciate God for all the good things He has done, the more He does more for humanity. He therefore charged true Christians to be fervent in their prayers and faithful to God at all times.

The thanksgiving which showcased prayers and songs saw members hit the floor with dance steps to glory of God.

Dignitaries in attendance includes Rt. Hon Thomas Ereyitomi, Member representing Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and his amiable wife among others.
