NYAN Visits New Abraka DPO,Kolo Musa, Pledges Commitment To Peace, Security

As part of efforts to improve cooperation between youths and security agencies in the battle against illegal drugs, cultism, and other threats to community peace, the National Youth Assembly of Nigeria (NYAN), Delta State Chapter, paid a courtesy visit to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Kolo Musa, the new Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Abraka Division.

The purpose of the visit, which took place ON Friday, 19th December, 2025, at the Abraka Police Division, was to reaffirm NYAN’s commitment to promoting increased security, harmonious coexistence, and responsible youth involvement throughout Abraka and its surrounding areas. Using the occasion, the body stated their willingness to work with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to raise youth awareness of criminal activity and promote intelligence sharing within the community.

Rt. Hon. Uwafili Ikechukwu Williams, Speaker of the National Youth Assembly of Nigeria, Delta State Chapter, led the delegation and emphasised the importance of youth participation in maintaining peace and deterring crime at the local level. He stated that NYAN is still committed to using advocacy, discussion, and positive interaction as means of combating youth social vices.

Hon. Comr. Oghenemine Promise, the Minority Leader; Hon. Comr. Oba Precious, Ambassador for Ndokwa West; Hon. Comr. Edun Christian, Ambassador for Warri North; Comr. Ebi Samuel, Chairman of the Board of Trustees; and Comr. Shedrach, Chief Security Officer to the Speaker, were among the other NYAN officials in attendance.

In response, CSP Kolo Musa thanked the group for the visit and praised NYAN for taking a proactive approach to community security and youth development.

He emphasised the value of teamwork in combating drug abuse, cultism, and other criminal activity in Abraka while assuring the group that the police command is open to cooperation.

At the end of the visit, NYAN and the Abraka Police Division pledged to collaborate closely to make the community safer and more tranquil for its citizens.
