Opuoru Dispels Innuendo On His Poor Relationship With Orosuen

Special Adviser (SA) to Governor Oborevwori on Environment, Chief Hon Matthew Poko Opuoru has dispelled innuendo making the rounds that his relationship with HRM Dr Morris Ogheneochuko Eyekpimi – Egboboyen Owhotemu 11 the Orosuen (traditional ruler )of Okere Urhobo Kingdom and indeed the Okere Urhobo people is poor.

Opuoru who is the immediate past member representing Warri South Constituency 11 at the Delta State House of Assembly, stated this in a media chat with newsmen during his homage paying visit to the highly respected traditional ruler at his palace along Edjemudarho off Cinema Site, Okumagba Avenue on Sunday 14th December, 2025.

Opuoru, who bears the exalted title of Eni (Elephant)of Okere Urhobo Kingdom, emphasized that his homage paying visit was a clear message that he has no differences with the Okere Urhobo monarch and indeed the people of Okere Urhobo Kingdom.

“I hail from Okere Urhobo Kingdom. I was appointed a Special Adviser ( SA) on Environment by HIs Excellency, Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori. It is therefore necessary for me to pay this homage to my king “he added.

Opuoru who is the Warri Urhobo Vice Chairman, All Progressive Congress ( APC), appreciated Governor Oborevwori for his appointment, as he scored Governor Oborevwori high on his achievements so far.

“He ( Governor Oborevwori) has done what others have not done,” he said.

The Special Adviser (SA) to Governor Oborevwori on Environment vowed that he will ensure that Delta State wins the award of the cleanest state in Nigeria, as he disclosed that he will embark on sensitization tour of the twenty five local government areas of the state to this effect.

The Orosuen of Okere Urhobo Kingdom had earlier in his remarks, appreciated Chief Hon Opuoru for the visit as he said that he was overwhelmed with the huge crowd of people that accompanied him on the visit.

Highpoint of the visit was a special prayer said for Chief Hon Opuoru by the Orosuen of Okere Urhobo Kingdom.
