2027: Ukuvwrere Calls For Unity For Oborevwori, Tinubu

The immediate past President General of Uvwie General Improvement Union (UGIU), Chief Austin Tivere Ukuvwrere, has called on Uvwie people, other Urhobos and indeed Deltans to unite for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) in 2027.
Ukuvwrere made the call in an exclusive media chat with our correspondent at his residence in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area, on Sunday, 4th December, 2026.
He reasoned that Governor Oborevwori has done so well for Uvwie people, other Urhobos and indeed Deltans to deserve their support.
“Besides the fact that His Excellency Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State is an Urhobo man, he has positively transformed Uvwie Local Government Area and indeed Delta State so far.
“We have never had it so good. One good turn, deserves another. He truly deserves our support,” he added.
While giving credence to his call, Ukuvwrere who bears the exalted title of ‘Ugo’ (eagle) of the ancient Urhobo kingdom of Uvwie, recalled that HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso (JP) OON, the Ovie (traditional ruler) of Uvwie Kingdom in his keynote address during the just concluded 18th edition of Uvwie Day celebration by Uvwie General Improvement Union (UGIU) at Urhobo College Effurun, charged all Uvwie sons and daughters to give Governor Oborevwori their maximum support in 2027.

He commended the Uvwie monarch for his divine and clarion call, as he noted that the call is wise and timely.
The Ugo of Uvwie Kingdom in the media interaction lauded and appreciated leaders of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Sapele/Okpe/ Uvwie Federal Constituency so far.
He specifically lauded the political leadership in Uvwie for their leadership as one family.
Ukuwrere wrapped up the media interaction with his appreciation to Governor Oborevwori for his appointment as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Oborevwori on Community Development, as he vowed to use the position to contribute immensely to the enhancement of the MORE Agenda of the governor.
