Bayelsa Civil Servant Denies Link To Publication Against Female Lawmaker
Mr. Anthony Alazigha, a career civil servant in Bayelsa State, has refuted allegations linking him to a damaging publication about Hon. Ebizi Ndiomu Brown, the Member representing Sagbama Constituency III in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.
This medium recently published a news article said to be released by a group called Kolga Youth Progressive Alliance wherein the lawmaker was called unprintable names.
The news platform quoted one Comr. Tony Alazigha to have issued the news on behalf of the group.
Responding, Mr. Anthony Alazigha described the publication by the “Kolga Youth Progressive Alliance” as “devilish and damaging”, stating categorically that it was published without his knowledge or consent.
Alazigha declared that he is neither a member nor spokesperson of the said group, hence has no connection to the article or Hon Ebizi Ndiomu Brown.
Alazigha, in a press statement issued on Saturday, attributed the earlier publication to malicious attempts to damage his reputation, built over decades.
He therefore appealed to the general public to disregard the article and hinted that relevant security agencies are already investigating the matter.
The statement reads in full: “My attention has been drawn to a very very damaging publication by a purported kolga youth progressive alliance to the effect that I am alleged to be the spokesperson for the faceless association and sponsor of a devilish and damaging publication about Hon Ebizi Ndiomu Brown of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.
“The said publication published on Trends N News in its entirety is founded on falsehood as I am not in any way related or connected to the said association and not even knowledgeable in its content of the article or Hon Ebizi Ndiomu Brown herself. I’m a career civil servant well focused on my career and not having anything to do with politics or politicians.

“As the authors of the damaging article are only set to damage my integrity and character which have taken me decades to build. I am therefore using this medium to call on well meaning Bayelsans, Nigerians and indeed the whole world to disregard anything that relates me to that article.
”Meanwhile relevant State actors are being engaged to uncover the evil doers.”
