Ukwuani: Ajede Set To Invest More In Agriculture

In his quest to do more for the Ukwuani people ,Hon. Barr. C.S .Possible Ajede has unveiled his administrations commitment to invest more on Agricultural produce which includes Palm Plantations, Piggery farming,and Poultry farming.

In view of the above ,the Executive Chairman took time to tour the various already existing Poultry sites, situated at Obiaruku which includes Ned General Farms at Opper Amai Road and Gboka Poultry Farms, Ghana Quarters in Obiaruku .

Highlighting the reasons for the tour, the do more Agenda Ambassador, emphasized that it was meant to ascertain what farm produce, Ukwuani Farmers already have on ground to enable the council determine where possible financial assistance could be provided.

Out of his passion to serve Ukwuani people better, Barr. Ajede also stated that the the Council intends to identify with already existing diversified live stock farm owners to liaise with them in carrying out training and establishing of Poultry and Piggery Farmers to avoid registering huge mortality rates of birds and pigs in the proposed poultries due to inexperience on the part of the trainees.

According to the Council Chairman, under the INEC SCHEME, the training would accommodate ten persons per ward for the poultry farming.

In appreciation to Barr Ajede for his numerous developmental strides, the Agriculture department led by the Supervisor for Agriculture Mr Jeffery Opone and the Head of Department, Mr Abel Odigili thanked the Chairman for promising to invest in Agriculture while pledging their unalloyed support to the council.
