Anambra State Government Orders 7-Day Quit Notice For Jerome Udoji Secretariat Farmers

The Anambra State Government through the Office of the Head of Service has issued a notice dated 10th April 2026, directing all persons engaged in farming activities within the undeveloped parcel of land at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex, Awka, to vacate and deliver possession of the premises within seven days.
The notice, signed by the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Head of Service, Mrs Nkiru Jessie Nwankwo, Esq, instructs farmers to: Cease all farming operations on the land immediately and to remove all crops, tools, equipment, and personal belongings from the premises by April 17 this year.
The notice stated that after the seven-day period expires, the Anambra State Government will take full possession of the land, and any remaining crops or materials will be removed or disposed of by the authorities.

The directive applies to all individuals farming on the specified land. Replies should be addressed to the Head of Service.
By this notice, all concerned persons are to adhere strictly to the directives and comply accordingly.
