DELSU Reschedules Presentation Of Awards, Prizes For 18th Convocation Ceremony

Delta State University has announced the rescheduling of the presentation of awards and prizes for its 18th Convocation Ceremony.
In an internal memorandum issued by the Registrar, Mrs. Rufina U. Ufiofio, and addressed to Deans of Faculties and Heads of Departments, the university said the presentation, which was initially scheduled for May 2, 2026, will no longer hold on that date.
According to the memo dated April 17, 2026, the awards presentation has now been moved to the institution’s Alumni Day programme.
The event is scheduled to hold on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at 750 Hall A, Site III, Abraka.

The affected categories include First Class graduating students, best graduating students in each department, best graduating students in each faculty, as well as the overall three best graduating students of the university.
The Registrar urged Deans and Heads of Departments to ensure that the information is brought to the attention of all concerned students and staff, while emphasizing the need for the notice to receive the widest possible circulation.
The university noted that the change should be carefully observed as part of preparations for the 18th Convocation Ceremony.
