Tragedy In Bayelsa As Doctor Dies After Giving Birth To Triplets
A wave of grief has swept through Bayelsa State following the death of a medical doctor shortly after she delivered a set of triplets, Punch reports.
The doctor, whose identity had not been officially disclosed at the time of filing this report, reportedly gave birth to the three babies in a medical facility within the state. Sources said the delivery was successful, with the triplets said to be in stable condition.
However, moments after the delivery, complications were said to have set in, leading to her sudden deterioration. Despite efforts by attending medical personnel to save her life, she was later pronounced dead.
Colleagues and associates have described the incident as both shocking and heartbreaking, noting that the deceased was a dedicated professional who had committed her life to saving others.
“This is a painful loss, not just to her family but to the entire medical community,” a source within the hospital said.

Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the circumstances surrounding her death.
