NDC Disowns Social Media Primary Election Results, Announces NEC Meeting
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has urged members of the public to disregard various primary election results currently circulating on social media, describing them as unofficial and unauthorized.
In a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director Esq., the NDC clarified that the authentic results of its nationwide primaries conducted on May 28 and 29, 2026, remain with the party’s National Executive Council (NEC), which is solely responsible for announcing the outcome of the exercise.
The party disclosed that, on the directive of its National Leader, Seriake Dickson, a meeting of the NEC has been convened to deliberate on matters arising from the primaries.
According to the statement, all NEC members are expected to arrive in Abuja for a pre-NEC meeting on Tuesday, June 2, while the main NEC meeting is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
