Kwankwaso Distances Self, NDC From Alleged Insecurity Protest

The Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has denied claims that he or the party is planning a protest over the rising insecurity in the country, describing a message circulating on social media as false and misleading.

In a statement issued on Monday, Kwankwaso urged members of the public to disregard the message, insisting that neither he nor the NDC supports any action capable of disrupting public order or leading to the destruction of lives and property.

He stated that responsible leaders must pursue peaceful and constructive approaches in addressing national challenges, particularly at a time when the country faces significant security concerns.

According to the former Kano State governor, the NDC remains firmly committed to democratic principles and believes that the ballot box is the most legitimate and effective means for citizens to express grievances and bring about change.

Kwankwaso expressed confidence in the party’s chances in the forthcoming elections, saying the NDC is focused on securing a decisive victory through peaceful democratic processes rather than protests or any form of civil unrest.
