RCCG Warns Against False Narratives On Adeboye

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has cautioned the public against what it described as the persistent spread of false narratives and misleading commentaries concerning its General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, and the Church.

In a statement released through its public relations platform, the Church expressed concern over what it termed deliberate misrepresentations and agenda-driven reports that have, over time, sought to distort facts about Pastor Adeboye and RCCG.

According to the statement, the Church will not allow itself or its leader to be defined by falsehoods and inaccurate narratives.

“The lies have gone on long enough. It stops now,” the statement declared, insisting that Pastor Adeboye and RCCG have repeatedly been subjected to misleading commentaries driven by personal interests and agenda-setting.

The Church emphasized that it has designated communication channels and authorized representatives responsible for issuing official statements on its behalf. It therefore urged members of the public to verify any claim relating to Pastor Adeboye or RCCG through its official public relations platform, @rccg_pr, before accepting or sharing such information.

RCCG stated that any information not communicated, verified or endorsed through its official channels should not be regarded as the Church’s official position.

The statement also addressed bloggers, commentators, media organizations and content publishers, reminding them of the importance of accuracy and fact-checking in their reporting.

It stressed that responsible journalism requires proper verification and urged media practitioners to confirm information concerning Pastor Adeboye and the Church through RCCG’s official communication platforms before publishing it as fact.

“The public deserves the truth, not speculation. The Church deserves fairness, not distortion. Pastor Adeboye deserves accuracy, not manufactured narratives,” the statement added.

The Church concluded by encouraging the public to rely on its official communication channels for verified information and updates concerning its activities and leadership.
