Police Arrest Suspected Female Gunrunner In Agbor, Intercept Adulterated Beverages In Warri
ASABA, DELTA STATE — The Delta State Police Command has arrested a 28-year-old woman, Happiness Clifford, for suspected gun-running activities in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area, recovering 10 live cartridges from her suspected hideout.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday, August 23, 2026, saying the suspect was arrested by operatives of the Special Anti-Kidnapping Unit (SAKU), Ubulu-Uku, following credible intelligence.
According to the statement, a search of the suspect’s hideout led to the recovery of 10 live cartridges concealed in a bucket.
During preliminary investigation, the suspect allegedly identified her husband, Clifford Okoro, as a major supplier of the ammunition.
The Police said investigation was ongoing, while efforts had been intensified to apprehend the alleged supplier.
In a separate operation in Warri, operatives of SAKU, Warri, on August 17, 2026, intercepted a Toyota Sienna conveying quantities of “Gbefun Hot Drink” suspected to be adulterated during a stop-and-search operation along the Warri–Agbarho Expressway.
The 44-year-old driver was arrested, while further investigation led the operatives to a warehouse at Lower Ginuwa, Warri.

The Police said additional quantities of the suspected adulterated drink, other beverages and a Suzuki Shuttle bus loaded with similar products were recovered from the warehouse.
The suspected operators of the warehouse reportedly fled on sighting the Police.
The Command said efforts were ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects and unravel the source and distribution network of the suspected adulterated beverages.
The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, commended the operatives for the breakthroughs and directed that investigations be pursued diligently to apprehend all suspects connected with the cases.
He also urged members of the public to continue supporting the Police by providing credible and timely information to aid crime prevention and security operations across the state.
