APC Set For DTHA Contest In Ethiope East, Abraka Constituencies, As Akpowowo, Erhimedafe Emerge
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has begun preparations for a major contest in the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) elections in Ethiope East and the newly created Abraka State Constituencies, following the emergence of Rt. Hon. Chief Arthur Akpowowo and Hon. Felix Erhimedafe as the party’s candidates.
Akpowowo, the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and serving representative of Ethiope East Constituency, emerged as the APC candidate for Ethiope East, while Erhimedafe emerged as the party’s candidate for the newly created Abraka State Constituency.
The emergence of Erhimedafe is particularly significant as Abraka State Constituency is a newly created constituency, giving the community a dedicated political representation at the Delta State House of Assembly.
His emergence therefore marks a new phase in the political representation of Abraka, with the APC positioning him to contest for the maiden seat in the newly created constituency.

For Ethiope East, Akpowowo’s emergence provides continuity, with the Deputy Speaker seeking to retain the constituency for the APC.
The development was welcomed by Fred Latimore, who congratulated both candidates and described their emergence as well-deserved victories.
“Congratulations to our performing Ethiope East Constituency Representative, Rt. Hon. Chief Arthur Akpowowo and Hon. Felix Erhimedafe, the brand new Abraka Constituency candidate. Victory well deserved,” Latimore stated.
The emergence of the two candidates is expected to set the stage for a keen political contest as the APC seeks to consolidate its position in Ethiope East while making a fresh bid to capture the newly created Abraka State Constituency.
