Chief Uwalaka Celebrates Ogedegbe At 55, Commends Grassroots Leadership In Ethiope East

The Chairman of Non-Indigenes, Ethiope East Chapter; Vice President, Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo, Delta Central; President, Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo, Abraka and its environs, Chief Nnamdi R. Uwalaka, has felicitated the Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council, Hon. Augustine Ogedegbe, on the occasion of his 55th birthday, describing him as a dedicated grassroots leader whose administration is making visible impact across the local government area.

In a congratulatory message made available to Oasis Magazine, Chief Uwalaka, who is also the Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Abraka Division, congratulated Ogedegbe on attaining the milestone age of 55, describing the occasion as an opportunity to celebrate his life and reflect on his contributions to the development of Ethiope East.

He commended the council chairman for his commitment to service, noting that his leadership has demonstrated a strong connection with the people and a determination to translate his vision into tangible development.

According to him, Ogedegbe’s understanding of grassroots governance and accessibility to the people have continued to distinguish his administration, particularly in its efforts to address issues affecting residents across the various communities in Ethiope East.

Chief Uwalaka specifically applauded the transformation of the administrative block of the Ethiope East Local Government Council Secretariat, describing the project as a visible demonstration of the chairman’s commitment to improving the physical environment and standard of public administration in the council.

He noted that the facelift of the administrative block was not merely about aesthetics but also reflected the chairman’s desire to create a more conducive environment for workers and residents who visit the council for government services.

The Non-Indigenes leader further praised Ogedegbe for giving attention to grassroots development and providing leadership that, in his view, promotes inclusiveness and peaceful coexistence among indigenes and non-indigenes living and doing business in Ethiope East.

He said the chairman’s 55th birthday provides an opportunity for the people of Ethiope East to appreciate his efforts while encouraging him to remain focused on delivering more dividends of democracy to the people.

Chief Uwalaka expressed confidence that Ogedegbe still has much to contribute to the development of Ethiope East, urging him to sustain the momentum and continue to prioritise projects and policies that directly improve the lives of the people.

He prayed God to grant the council chairman renewed strength, wisdom, good health and greater capacity to serve, wishing him many more years of fruitful life and impactful leadership.
