Peace, A Veritable Tool For Our Co-Existence– Amb. Oyibode By John Onos
An All Progressive Congress (APC) bigwig and former governorship aspirant in Delta State, Chief Dr. Amb. Gabriel Chukwuma Etaoghenevwegba Oyibode, has said that the “most veritable tool for the progress, growth and development of Nigeria is peace.”
Amb. Oyibode made this statement when Muslim faithful celebrated Sallah, advising those that threatened the peaceful coexistence of Nigeria to desist from such.
In a statement signed by him and made available to newsmen, Oyibode stated that peace is the only way forward for a better
Nigeria.
He urged the Federal, State and Local government to implement policies that will bring improvement in the lives of the citizens and at the same time develop the nation.
He said: “When life is made easy for people, you begin to see development,” urging citizens to support the government of the day.
He added: “No man can do it alone for Nigeria to grow or develop; all hands must be on deck, irrespective of tribe, ethnicity, political parties and religions.”
“We are who we are not by tribe or ethnicity, and the more we focus on issues that do not have positive effects on the lives of the citizens and government, the more our peaceful coexistence is threatened, ” he said.
The former Delta State gubernatorial candidate felicitated with all
Muslim faithful as they marked Eid-il-Kabir, urging them to always preach the good message of peace, love, unity and tolerance.
