A popular sports jpurnalist in Delta State, Timi Ebikpagboro has passed on.
According to information made available to Oasis Magazine, he died at 3 a.m. this morning for no known cause, but was said to have complained of stomach pain the night before he passed on.
Some of the early callers at late Timi’s residence include church members from Catholic Church, Jeddo, the Landlord Association in the area the deceased resides and some staff of DRTV, Warri.
A press statement from the family of the deceased is still awaited at the time of filing this report. But, we were reliably informed that he (Timi) had a stroke attack recently, but, this was well managed and had no impact on his day to day activities.
Timi is survived by his wife and three children.
He served dutifully as media officer for Warri Wolves sometime back and presently media officer to the Nigeria U-23 side until his death, amongst other portfolios.
He was on duty with the U-23 team in 2016 for the Rio Olympics.

Some of his last tweets on his tweeter handle, 5 days ago include: “I don’t want to be seen as a good Christian just because I carry d bible but would prefer for people to see Christ in me through my actions,” and “I love the magic yellow card does to players who suffer from momentary “insanity” they become sane immediately.”
