DTHA: Moses Ogodo Joins Race To Represent Sapele Constituency
By Daniel Dafe
Immediate past Chairman, Sapele-Okpe Community, Hon. Moses Ogodo, has said that he is fully in the race to represent the people of Sapele in the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), come 2019.
Speaking to journalists in Sapele during the commissioning of his campaign office at the weekend, Hon. Ogodo disclosed that he will officially declare after his principal, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru does same.
He added: “Now, we are preparing ground so that we can have an administrative secretariat for our campaigns. We are doing logistics, putting everything in place because we know that time is not on our side.”
Continuing, he said: “We are opening this office and consultations will still go on.
“I have had the opportunity twice to serve in this local government as councilor, and then as a community leader for over 4 years and also in Ovwori Community for over 4 years. During this period, I have seen that Sapele people are not actually benefiting very well as far as Delta State Government is concerned.”
“Looking around, I found out that a good representation is needed. At the community level, I have tried by presenting some basic amenities to my people. Also, by representing Sapele this time, Sapele people will get better representation different from what has occurred before now,” he averred.
Ogodo hoped to get the ticket during the primaries of his party, All Progressives Congress, APC, and promised to mobilize for the party, come 2019.
