Only APC National Can Grant Aspirants Automatic Ticket –Erue

The Chairman of the Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prophet Jones Erue, has hinted that only the national body of the party can grant automatic ticket to an aspirant contesting for any elective position in the party. This is coming after the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan was unveiled to the APC  Caucus yesterday.

In a chat with Oasis Magazine (OM),Erue noted that the party must have a reason for.granting the automatic ticket.

His wordsL:  “Only the National body of the APC can grant automatic ticket to anybody. There must be a reason for it. It is not in my power to say the party will give automatic ticket to anyone.”

Erue who welcomed Dr. Emmabuel Uduaghan into the APC said he has the right to pursue his political aspirations within the party.

Erue noted that Dr. Uduaghan has not intimated him that he is contesting the Delta South Senatorial seat.

“As far as I am concerned, Dr. Uduaghan has not told me he wants to contest. Let us wait for him to declare his intentions first and stop this speculations that will not do our polity any good.”
