DTHA Passes Delta State Public Finance Management Bill
The Delta State House of Assembly at plenary on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, passed the Delta State Public Finance Management Bill.
The passage of the bill followed the continuation of the consideration of the report of the Joint Committee on Public Account and Rules, Business, Legal and Judicial Matters on the Delta State Public Finance Management Bill at a Committee of the whole.
After the Committee of the whole which commenced from clause sixteen to thirty eight, the Speaker, Rt Hon. Oborevwori, said the House had earlier considered clause one to fifteen of the report and thanked members for their commitment to the passage of the bill.
The Speaker said the bill will strengthen the management of public finance in the state.
The bill was passed following a motion moved by the Majority Leader, Hon. Tim Owhefere seconded by Hon. Anthony Elekeokwuri.
