Sapele Constituency: Ogodo Flags-Off For DTHA Race

The Delta State House of Assembly Candidate on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Sapele Constituency, Hon Moses Ogodo has officially kicked off his campaign to emerge victorious, come 2019.
The APC chieftain who was the former Sapele/Okpe Cmmunity Chairman during his flag-off campaign with thousands on his entourage accompanied him during a consultation visit with leaders of the community at Okpe Community Town Hall in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State. During this visit to the Sapele Okpe Community executive council, opined that the position of the Delta State House of Assembly is currently vacant as Rt Hon Monday Ovwigho Igbuya is going for the House of Representatives.
“I came to inform you all about my dream to run for the State House of Assembly. I stand here to tell you all that I am of the ruling party. I want Sapele Okpe Community to support me now that we have a candidiate from Sapele Urban to run for the State House of Assembly. I want you all to support me in the forth coming election”, he said.
Speaking on his achievements as the former Okpe Community Chairman, Ogodo said he built the Ovwori Community Town Hall, fought for Ovwori Community recognition by Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), he renovated the Sapele Okpe Community Town Hall, and also erected a storey building to serve as office block to the community.
Continuing he said he built the two Okpe Community town halls by fencing and beautifying them with interlocks, bought two generator plants and he provided five transformers to Sapele community.
He added that he built the Urhiaka market, gave out soft loans to women for business and empowered youths, adding that if voted for come 2019, he will get the youths off the street as he understands the pains of the people.
In his remark the Chairman of Sapele Okpe Community, Mr Patrick Akamovba, however said that “the people of Sapele want a leader that will represent the interest of the people; a leader that will have the boldness to speak to the governor about pressing needs of the people because Sapele people are suffering.
“What we are practicing in Sapele is not politics. We do not want people that are money-driven to occupy the State house of Assembly.”
“We pray that God gives Hon. Moses Ogodo the wisdom to lead the people in the right direction. He has the qualities of a good leader and he is very qualified to represent us in the State House of Assembly because I have gone through his passed record,” he added.
