By Daniel Dafe
The President of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Female
Youth Wing (Emete), Worldwide, Onajite
Efedede, has said that the separate visit of the body to a
House of Representatives member representing Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu
Federal Constituency, Honorable (Rev)
Francis Ejiroghene Waive, and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo,
will soon
yield positive results in Urhobo Nation.

Speaking to Oasis Magazine (OM)during a phone conversation, she added that the said visits will translate to employments, empowerment packages and access to skill acquisitions for ladies in Urhobo land.
According to her, the visit to the two Urhobo sons was prompted by the realisation by the executive of the female youth wing that many Urhobo ladies were jobless, financially handicapped, adding that many have graduated, but yet to get employed.
She continued: “We went round the 24 kingdoms in Urhobo Nation and also discovered that so many of our ladies in order to escape their predicament consider marriage as the option.
“Waive and Keyamo gave us their words of promise to see to it that our ladies are employed and those that cannot obtain formal education get trained in the area of skills acquisition that will be sited across several places in Urhobo localities.”
Furthermore, she called on ladies interested in either getting employments, benefitting from the empowerment packages or taking part in the skills acquisition training to send their curriculum vitae and profiles to [email protected].
Continuing, she thanked Hon. Waive and Barr. Keyamo for the warm reception they enjoyed during the separate visits.
Efedede promised to continue to mobilize Urhobo ladies to support them while they remain in office.
