COVID-19: Urhobo Youths President, Umukoro Commends Gov Okowa For Relaxing Lockdown Order

The President of Urhobo Progressive Union (UPU), Youthwing, Worldwide, Comrade Kelly Efemena Umukoro, has commended the Delta State Governor, Sen. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for relaxing the lockdown order to enable a gradual commencement of socio-economic activities in the state.
The youth leader said this while responding to questions from journalists after the announcement was made by Sen. Okowa during a live broadcast on Tuesday.
He said: “This move will lessen the burdens on Deltans that they had to bear for the past 28 days in support of the state government’s efforts to curb the spread of the disease.
Continuing, he urged the government both at the federal and state levels to triple their efforts in the fight against COVID-19.
Umukoro appealed to Urhobo Nation to adhere strictly to all laid down rules and directives from every agency of the state and the federal government so that the economic and social life of everyone can bounce back fully within a short period of time.
He called on the state government to provide testing kits across all communities in Urhobo land and look for a possible tradomedical solution as cure for the novel Coronavirus.
