2023: I Will Support Amaechi If He Runs For President– Wike
The Governor of River State, Nyesom Wike, has declared that he will support Rotimi Amaechi if he declares to contest for President in 2023.
Wike made this revelation during a live interview on Arise Television.
The controversial politician said his support for Amaechi will only materialize if the Minister of Transport runs on the platform of his party, PDP.
He added that if PDP zones the presidency to the south and Chibuike Amaechi is running under the PDP, he would back him, adding that if Amaechi was to run under APC, it would amount to anti-party activity for him (Wike) to support him.
“If he is running under PDP, why not? If he is running under APC, Why should i support him? I’m not a member of APC. I’m a true and through Nigerian.
“If Rotimi Amaechi is running for President under PDP and he gets the party ticket, Why not?” he said.
