Eugene, Ayemidejor, Augoye, Egbedi, Others Attend ‘Okpe Day Of Fasting And Prayer’

The two-day fasting and prayer programme organized by His Royal Majesty, Orhue 1, CFR, Mni, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom in conjunction with Okpe Christian Assembly, Worldwide, came to a climax yesterday, Saturday, June 27, 2020.
Okpe sons and daughters who attended the ceremony include Chief (Hon.) Eugene Inoaghan, Chief James Augoye, Hon. Comissoner for Works, Delta State, Hon. Austine Ayemidejor, Special Project Director of Asaba International Airport, Hon. Julius Egbedi, Chief Godday Okpako, Queen Doris Mujakperuo, Chief Margeret Unukegwo and Mr Harrison Ekeleme. Others include Bishop Dr. Charles Osume, Revd Fr. Abaka, Bishop Solomon Onose, Rt. Revd. Christian Ezezi Ide (JP) and other dignatries.
While addressing sons and daughters who attended the thanksgiving ceremony held at the Udogun Hall, Orerokpe in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State, His Royal Majesty, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom said that he was pleased with the manner in which the program was organized, adding that Okpe Kingdom is in the hands of God Almighty.
The Okpe Monarch said that the growth of Okpe Kingdom is in the hands of God.
Speaking further, the traditional ruler thanked the members of the Okpe Christian Assembly, Worldwide led by Bishop Godday Iboyi for their unflinching support and total commitment to the spiritual growth of the kingdom.
The President General, Okpe Christian Assembly, His Lordship, Rt.Rev. Iboyi Godday, while speaking on the theme of the program “Oh Lord Heal Our Land,” enjoined Christians to always acknowledge God, observe genuine repentance and engage thanksgiving.
Bishop Godday Iboyi further added: “Because the children of Okpe origin have cried out to God, God will give the land victory over every affliction through the Orodje of Okpe.”
Bishop Godday in continuation said that because His Majesty the Orodje of Okpe recognized God as the supreme ruler, all untimely deaths in the land will cease.
He prayed for peace, growth and long life for all sons and daughters of Okpe origin.
Speaking to journalists, Hon. Austine Ayemidejor said that the steps taking by the Orodje of Okpe to organize a two-day fasting and prayer program for Okpe Kingdom was in the right direction, adding that it is only God that can deliver the land.
Chief James Augoye, who also spoke to newsmen said that Okpe Kingdom needs God especially in this period of pandemic.
He therefore urged everyone to continue to pray for the peace, growth and development of the land.
