Urhobo Youth Leaders Visit Abuja Municipal Royal Majesty
Leaders of Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, Youthwing, Worldwide, have visited the Royal Palace of Jikwoyi in Abuja Municipal Area Council where they met with His Royal Majesty, Dr. Bawa S. Jetta.
The youth body, we learnt visited the traditional ruler to thank him for his show of love to Urhobo people in his kingdom.
The monarch who was excited to see the Urhobo youth executive members who were also properly dressed in their cultural attire, took out time to advise them on the need for ethnic groups to be detribalised, adding that irrespective of the different tribes, we must all see ourselves as one Nigeria.
The traditional ruler opined that it is through unity, love and harmony that the nation can achieve success.
He used Dr. Rufus Ebegba as an example, saying that though he is not from his kingdom, he is the President General of all landlords in the neighbourhood and that Dr. Rufus has been a good ambassador of Urhobo nation in his kingdom.
Furthermore, he sent his greetings to the Royal homes of Urhobo nation and equally prayed for for the success of the Umukoro-led adminstration.
According to Umukoro, “indeed, it was an honor to have a moment with his Majesty.”
He continued: “As the ethnic youth president, I took out time to appreciate the monarch for his deep love and acceptance of Urhobo people in his kingdom and we wish him longer days on the throne.”
