(BREAKING) EndSARS: Deltans To Observe 6PM To 8AM Curfew Till Further Notice, Says Okowa
As the 48-hour curfew declared by the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa ends today at 6p.m., Deltans have been asked to observe a 6p.m. to 8a.m. curfew till further notice.
This was contained in a statement posted on the governor’s Facebook page on Saturday.
Recall that Okowa just like some state governors ordered a 48-hour curfew when in parts of the state, some #EndSARS protesters that called for an end to police brutality alongside Nigerians in other states of the federation turned violent.
He said: “This morning, I received a comprehensive briefing on the security situation across Delta State from the three Service Commanders.
“Having analyzed the situation critically, I wish to thank all Deltans, particularly our youth, for complying with the curfew that was imposed two days ago.
“The current 48-hour curfew will expire by 6pm today Saturday, October 24th, 2020.
“However, from this evening, the curfew will be in effect from 6pm to 8am till further notice.”
