NUJ Commends Governor Okowa For Appointing Publisher, Orhomonokpaye SA On Community Newspapers
The Delta State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has commended Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, Executive Governor of Delta State for appointing a renowned community newspaper Publisher, Prince Joseph Orhomonokpaye as Special Assistant (SA) on Community Newspapers (Office of the Deputy Governor).
In a statement signed by Comrade Michael Ikeogwu, Chairman,
Delta State Council and Comrade Patrick Ochei, Secretary, Delta NUJ said: “We are pleased with this usual gesture of the Governor, because it was during the Quarterly Media Interaction with the Governor that this miracle appointment was birthed.
“The appointment is a pointer to the fact that Senator Okowa recognises those who are working, especially as it pertains to the promotion, propagation and dissemination of Government policies and programmes to the grassroots populace.”

While celebrating with Prince Orhomonokpaye, Publisher of the Delta Guide Newspapers on the appointment, the Union promised to continue to create platforms for cordial relationships and synergies that will ensure all media practitioners are carried along towards benefitting in terms of welfare and protection of rights of media workers.
Furthermore, they wished the newest appointee of Governor Okowa a warm congratulation.
