ASUU: “The Guy Thinks The Year Is 1990”-Aisha Mocks NANS President After He Vowed To Shutdown Private Universities
Recall that 2 days ago, National Association of Nigerian Students NANS vowed to stage a very powerful protest to shutdown not only private universities if ASUU and FG do not resolve lingering issues surrounding the strike before the end of this December.
With this singular action, the president of NANS believes that by calling out Nigerian youths in public universities to disrupt academic activities in private universities, the stakeholders would quickly rise up to the yearnings of the students.
For iinstance, IBB, Obasanjo, Atiku, etc all have universities but never speak up against the strike in the interest of the masses or do anything to enhance public universities.
Recall that Asefon 45, has been described as the first oldest NANS president in terms of age ever elected to chair the union.
This is why Aisha Yesufu mocked him for thinking in line with old generation for saying he would disrupt private universities because of ASUU strike.
She said if you put old generation to do the job of youth, this is what you get, that is why his thinking the year is 1990.
Adding: “I think to disrupt academic activities in universities that have nothing to do with the strike. Really? That’s the only “sensible” thing that can be done? This is totally wrong and unheard of.
“I think he should go and close down National Assembly and Office of the Minister of Education too. That way, they will take him serious like that.”
