BREAKING: Former NCAA DG, Muhtar Usman Dies At 63
A former Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Capt. Muhtar Usman is dead, NewsOne Nigeria reports.
Reports say Muhtar Usman died at the age of 63 on Tuesday night, December 1, at a hospital in Zaria, a major city in Kaduna State in northern Nigeria, after a brief illness.
A report monitored on PUNCH newspaper, quoted that the President of the Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, Illitrus Ahmadu, to have confirmed Muhtar Usman death on Wednesday morning, December 2.

“Muhtar Usman is dead. I just received the news of his death. He was rushed to a hospital yesterday in Zaria, Kaduna State, before he passed on,” Ahmadu told PUNCH.
Late Muhtar Usman, who was born on December 5, 1956, became the director general of the civil aviation regulatory body in October, 2014, and served for five years.
He handed over to the present NCAA boss, Capt. Musa Nuhu, in October 2019.
Before his appointment as NCAA DG, the astute aviator was the Commissioner, Accident Investigation Bureau, and Managing Director of the defunct Nigeria Airways.
Meanwhile, Muhtar Usman burial arrangement is expected to be announced soon by the family.
