Omimi Mourns Pa Okowa’s Passage, Condoles Gov Okowa, Family
The Political Adviser to the Delta State Governor, Omimi Esquire, has described the passing on of the father of the State Governor, Pa Arthur Okorie Okowa, as devastating, not only for the Okowa family, but the Owa people and entire Delta.
Omimi Esquire, in a statement in Asaba, yesterday, said that Pa Arthur Okowa, who was a teacher’s teacher, inculcated sound moral values on his children and extended family which is amply demonstrated in the public service conduct of moral and administrative rectitude displayed by his son, Governor lfeanyi Okowa, in the discharge of his duties as Governor.
The Political Adviser recalled that as first member of the state Post Primary Education Board (PPEB) during the administration of late Olorogun Felix lbru, Pa Okowa displayed such rare traits of exemplary service that gave rise to the transformation of the post primary sector in Delta north in particular , and the entire state in general.

Describing the late father of the Governor as a devoted but firm father, community leader and bridge builder in Owa kingdom, the Governor’s political aide said Pa Okowa’s 88 years sojourn on earth should inspire all who came in contact with him to aspire to live worthy lives based on principles that raise the bar of human relations.
Said Omimi: “On behalf of my family and staff, l most humbly condole with my boss, His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr lfeanyi Arthur Okowa, on the unfortunate demise of his dear father, Pa Arthur Okorie Okowa, at the age of 88.
“I also commiserate with the entire Okowa family and people of Owa Aliero in lka North East on the passage into eternal glory of their patriarch and community leader.
“His life was laced with values of discipline, respect for constituted authority and belief in the dignity of labour. I am convinced that the legacies he left behind will be a source of inspiration to his immediate and extended family and beyond. May Papa’s gentle soul rest in peace profound, Amen”.
