Edo Governor Salutes Outgoing Zone 5 Police AIG

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, has praised the outgoing Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Zone 5, Benin City, Mr. Shola David, “for his resilience, sacrifice and commitment to nation building and security of the state.”
Obaseki in a statement on Tuesday, added that the retired police officer did his job with maturity and experience, saying that this was greatly seen during the electioneering season in the state and also during the #EndSARS protest too.
He added: “You helped us in restoring law and order in Edo state.”

The governor continued: “You have spent 35 years in service and have to retire, even though you are not tired. I want to use this opportunity to thank you on behalf of the government and the good people of the state.”
