CUPP Is A Branch Of PDP In Delta, Says Sir Oghotoma
By Daniel Dafe, Abraka
Sir Ohwo Benson Oghotoma aka OBO has said that the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) in Delta State is a branch of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
CUPP is supposed to be the umbrella body for all opposition parties.
Oghotoma who spoke to journalists said: “Those in CUPP are hungry men and women who have no jobs but politics as well as not having the political will to win any election in their various political parties but to show rascality in any election.”
Adding: “How can you be in opposition to the ruling party and be endorsing the party that you are an opposition to? It’s very sad. They’re hungry people and have collected a huge amount from the PDP government to embark on a journey of destabilizing oppositions in the state using CUPP.”
Sir Oghtomoa spoke following the purported endorsement of the PDP by the opposition umbrella in the 25 Local Government Areas.

OBO therefore called on Deltans to disregard the endorsement of the PDP by the CUPP and vote for candidates and parties of their choice as members of CUPP are hungry politicians.
Sir Oghotoma who is a member of the Social Democratic Party, SDP has called on the new Chairman of the party, Hon. Austine Okakor Oghogho to pull the party from the group as it does not have the political will to lead SDP in opposition, stressing that they are hungry politicians.
According to OBO, it is a misplaced priority in the first place for the former SDP Chairman, Amb Idawene Oke Hezx to join such a kangaroo opposition group which does not see it taking over power from the PDP that has misruled the state.
He said SDP is on ground in most of the local government councils particularly in Isoko North and Uvwie and that SDP is fully ready for the March 6 poll in Delta State.
He enjoined genuine oppositions to take CUPP to court over their misleading role in Delta State.
