Delta CP Completes Familiarization Tour To Eight Police Area Commands

The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, has concluded his familiarition/visit to the eight Area Commands in Delta State.

The Area Commands are Warri, Ughelli, Burutu, Ozoro, Sapele, Agbor, Ogwashi-Uku and Asaba.

The tour started on the 3rd of February, 2020 with the Commissioner of Police visiting the Warri Area Command and ended on the 26th of February with the visit to the Asaba Area command.

These visits had in attendance all stakeholders such as traditional rulers, vigilante, PCRC and human right activists in the state.

During the tour, CP Ari Muhammed Ali reiterated his commitment to serving the people of Delta State, and to ensure that they are properly policed and that justice and equity is given to all.

He urged all stakeholders to work with the police and help the police to police the community, adding that the time for police to do everything on their own has passed.

Hr said this is the time for the community to partner with the police to have a safer Delta.

The commissioner in all his visits to the eight Area commands in Delta State informed the people of the need to ensure that Delta is safe for all, adding that a state where there is no peace, there will be no progress and investors will be afraid of coming to the state to invest which will increase the rate of unemployment and reduce development.

CP Ari Muhammed Ali emphasized on his zero tolerance for corruption.

According to him, during his time, any officer found wanting will be dealt with accordingly.

The CP advised all indigenes of the state to stay away from all forms of fake news that is capable of worsening the already tensed security situation in the country, and that all journalist.

He called on all human rights activist and online publishers to verify the authenticity of their information before publishing, as he warned all police men serving in the state to respect the right of every citizen and also advised members of the public not to forget that the police too are humans and have right as well that needs to be respected.

Meanwhile, he pleaded with all to provide all necessary information that will help the police to make Delta State safe for everyone.
