Ijaw Governorship ls An Impossibility Under The Tenets Of The Senatorial Rotation Template Of PDP In Delta

Recently, some Ijaws hawks of Delta state have purposefully exhibited a false aura of braggadocio to mask a façade of political insecurity, especially in their misplaced and ill advised quest to wrest political power from the Urhobos in 2023.

This pipe dream of making a beeline for the governorship of Delta state is an impossibility under the tenets of the Senatorial rotation template of the PDP, taking into cognizance that the Isokos and Urhobos in Delta south senatorial District precede them in alphabetical order.

The hubris, crass selfishness and uncanny posturing by the Ijaws is being viewed with unquantifiable amusement and pity by all objective persons.

Nevertheless, the Urhobo nation does not intend to be pretentious about this affront/declaration of hostility and unexpected betrayal from our once friendly Ijaw neighbours.

As such, we intend to take the utterances and covert schemes of the Ijaws to undermine the Urhobo nation as very serious threats, necessitating the commencement of a very early and prompt dress rehearsals for the political battles that will redefine the face of Delta state and the values and probity of her people.

Trustfully, at the end of this epic battle, the threatened age – long salutary and mutually beneficial relationship that hitherto existed between both ethnic nationalities will be restored and straightened for the good of all.

On a lighter note, we wish our delusionary Ijaw adventurers the very best of pyrrhic luck as they embark on their quixotic journey to political perdition.

But, should this quixotic adventure morph into a misadventure which it is doomed to become, the Ijaws will live and remain the most harangued people in the Niger Delta and the butts of many jokes.

The sheer obduracy of the Ijaws to attempt to shunt the queue and insist on upturning the extant PDP zoning arrangement in Delta state speaks volume of their disdain for equity and fairness, and a propensity for avarice predicated on
the falsehood of a 2019 treaty promising them the governorship of Delta state.

Sadly, the Ijaws, like a lost puppy will not heed the Master’s whistle.

Finally, like all dishonourable men, the Ijaws are blinded by the demons of presumptuousness.
