DELSU To Hold Symposium In Honour Of Late Professor Ekuerhare August 11

Delta State University, Abraka (DELSU) and the Faculty of the Social Sciences (FSS) will on Wednesday, 11th August, 2021, hold a ‘Memorial Symposium’ and ‘Day of Tributes’ in honour of late Professor Bright Ukori Ekuerhare who died at age 75.
The event will hold at the Faculty Small Lecture Theater (FS LT GF 35), Site 3, Abraka.
The occasion will be chaired by Professor Mike Obadan of the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State.
Guests to grace the occasion include Professor Sam Oyovbaire , Chairman Governing Council, DELSU, Abraka {Special Guest of Honour), Professor Andy Egwunyenga, VC, DELSU, Abraka (Chief Host) and Professor Atare Otite, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, DELSU, Abraka (Host).

Prof. V.T Jike of the Department of Sociology & Psychology, DELSU, Abraka, Speaker at the ceremony, will deliver a talk on ‘Democratic Paradox and the Threshold of Economic C rises in Nigeria.’
The symposium will feature a panel of discussants such as Professors Patrick Muoboghare, Former Honourable commissioner of Higher Education, Delta State, Prof. Emma Mordi, Former Chairman, ASUU, DELSU, Abraka and Prof. Mrs Dicta Ogisi, Dean, Faculty of Agric, DELSU, Abraka.
Also, tributes will be delivered by Prof. G.G. Darah, Faculty of Arts, DELSU, Abraka, Prof. C.O Orubu, Faculty of the Social Sciences, DELSU, Abraka and Prof. Demaki, Chairman, ASUU, DELSU, Abraka.
The event will kick-off at 10.am.
