Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Saturday offered automatic employment to Okwa Favour Oghenemine, the overall Best Graduating Student of Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka.

Oghenemine graduated from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science with a 4.95 CGPA.

Governor Oborevwori, who offered the automatic employment at the 17th Convocation of the university, challenged graduates not to think only of getting paid jobs but to think of becoming entrepreneurs.

Earlier, Oghenemine also got employment offers from Federal Polytechnic, Orogun, FEPO, and Chief Broderick Uvieoghene Arigbodi, Chief Executive Officer of Librod Energy Services Limited.

FEPO known for character and excellence gave the first class graduate automatic employment as lecturer in the institution.

Arigbodi is a foremost Nigerian entrepreneur and philanthropist who has made significant landmarks in the oil and gas sector.

Like the governor advised, Oghenemine would have to make a choice of the offer she accepts.

Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor, DELSU, Prof. Samuel Asagba asked the wonder-kid to wisely choose which of the three automatic employments she has to embrace.

“We will be here to advise you if you need it,” he added.

Apart from the automatic employment offers, she also won other cash prizes running into millions.

These include the VC’s prize of N500, 000 and the Student Union Government prize of N1000000.
