Delta: Ezewu Urges Students To Be More Committed To Studies

Students have been advised to always take their studies seriously so as to perform brilliantly in examinations.

Delta State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Hon (Mrs) Rose Ezewu gave the admonition while monitoring the ongoing third term promotion examination in some parts of the state including Okpe, Warri South and Uvwie Local Government Areas.

Hon(Mrs) Ezewu, who said that the ministry had endured that there was effective teaching and learning in adherence with the scheme of work.

The Education Commissioner, reiterated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s determination to transform the education sector, adding that children across the state now learn in a conductive environment.

Hon(Mrs) Ezewu, who urged teachers to reciprocate government’s huge investment in the education sector to be more committed to their duties , noted that the ministry under her watch would not condone indolence.

She described teachers as critical stakeholders in the the development of any society, especially in the area building and shaping the orientation of children who would in future become leaders.

Schools monitored by the commissioner and her team included Okeme Secondary School,Okuokoko in Okpe Local Government Area, Ogbe Secondary School, Effurun, Alegbon Secondary School,Ekpan Secondary School all in Uvwie Local Government Area as well as Edjeba College, Warri , Warri South Local Government Area of the state.

The monitoring of the examination continues.
