2023: Okowa Is A Factor To Reckon With In Elections, Politics – EAC Oghenesivbe
…Says He Will Support Amori For Senate In 2023
Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Communications, Olorogun Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has said that Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, of Delta State, is a dogged, well grounded and experienced grassroot politician, a factor to reckon with in election politics in the state.
He made the disclosure in response to a question during a live Radio public affairs programme in Lagos, Tuesday morning, August 10, 2021, saying that major political leaders in the state recognised the fact that there is a long history of unity of purpose during elections, and that 2023 will not be an exception.
He posited that he foresee timely harmonization of political interests between leaders of the three senatorial districts of Delta North, Central and South, ahead of party primaries in 2022; as well as block votes for the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in 2023.
The renowned political communication strategist and Convener, Coalition for Media Politics, CMP, said there is the likelihood of the Ijaws of Delta South and Urhobos of Delta Central to deal a compromise based on the existing power rotation agreement within PDP family in the state, adding that no senatorial district can do it alone without the support of the other two brother districts.

Responding to another question concerning his exit from DC-23 Lobby Group as the pioneer Communication strategist, Oghenesivbe said politicians will always play politics of self interests, and when this happens some people are bound to be casualties, pointing out that he was a victim of “politics of self interest” within a group, carefully planned and executed by ancient political astrologers.
He however pointed out that DC-23 and Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, did a fantastic job in their collective lobby strategies for power to shift to Central in 2023, with less or insignificant opposition, adding that he will support the Chairman of DC-23, Chief Ighoyota Amori, who has been pencilled down to represent the good people of Delta Central at the Red Chambers in 2023.
Okowa’s EAC noted that “one good turn deserves another,” and disclosed that Amori played significant roles together with PSG to the Governor, Hon Hilary Ibegbulem, to ensure his appointment as Senior communication Aide to Governor Okowa, in 2017 and that he was duty bound to reciprocate by mobilizing support for Amori’s landslide victory in 2023 via a dogged team of media professionals and social media influencers at no cost to the distinguished Senator.
“My boss the governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa is the current leader of PDP in the state. It is his absolute responsibility to mobilize, oversee the entire party structure and election strategies with the state party Exco, to ensure another landslide victory for our party in the forthcoming governorship elections in the state.
“He is also the Life Patron of the most formidable political advocacy group in the state, Delta Political Vanguard, DPV, a super structure within PDP family chaired by renowned political tactician, Chief (Evangelist) Michael Diden Ejele.
“There is certainly no cracks among leaders of our party in the state, they are united for victory in 2023. Our national leader, Chief James Ibori, is solidly on ground to do the needful with other leaders and the Governor to ensure overwhelming victory.
“My exit from DC-23 was as a result of political power game of self interest by some musketeers, which is very common in party politics, and it does not translate to permanent disagreement because there can never be permanent enemies in politics, only permanent interest.
“However, it is important for any right thinking individual that knows his onions, to protect his or her integrity, self esteem and professional status in the arena of political chess game, especially where professionalism is sacrificed on the altar of group or individual self interests.
“I had to exit DC-23 to protect my integrity, professional status and office as EACGOVDELTA, so as not to play second fiddle in DC-23 media team as the pioneer media strategist” Oghenesivbe added.
