Nigeria’s Problems Will Be 80% Solved If Transparent Elections Hold, Voters’ Choices Emerge —Idawene

The Convener of Alliance Against Vote Buying And Bad Leadership In Nigeria, Amb. Oke Idawene, has said that if the processes used in elections that produce the nation’s leaders are relatively transparent and the people’s choices emerge, 80% of Nigeria’s problem would have been solved.

The convener, who spoke to journalists, added that Nigerians must wake up to join this movement now, saying EndSARS is not our problem; bad leadership is the root of the country’s woes.

He continued: “We shall mobilize Nigerians, foreign observers and partner with INEC to ensure we put an end to vote buying and bad leadership in Nigeria.

“We shall have representatives at all elections whether at the federal, state, local government, ward and unit levels.

”If you love Nigeria and you really want change with good reforms, EndSARS movement is not the answer. Use that energy for Alliance Against Vote Buying And Bad Leadership In Nigeria. This is a noble course.

“Only a good government will put an end to unemployment, with good economic policies and will to execute. Only a government that is responsible will give us good and better security, good police reforms, ensure every sphere of the nation is working.”

Adding: “Above all, we will put in place measures for peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.”

He called on all to embrace and support this movement, stressing that it is an alliance for a new and better Nigeria.w
