TROMPCON Appreciates Okowa Over Support, Blasts DESOPADEC

The Traditional Rulers of Oil Mineral Producing Communities of Nigeria (TROMPCON ), Delta State Chapter, has appreciated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa over his support for the group.

This was contained in the valedictory speech of the outgone Chairman of the group in Delta State, HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso ( JP) OON, Abe 1, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom during a meeting in his palace in Effurun.

The Uvwie monarch listed the hosting of the 27th National Conference of TROMPCON in Asaba, the state capital, as one of the major achievements of his administration.

He also expressed his appreciation to Governor Okowa for his huge financial support and contributions towards the successful hosting of the said national conference of the group in the state.

“We are grateful for Governor Okowa’s contribution and support,” the monarch added. 

The Ovie, however, listed paucity of funds as a major challenge confronting TROMPCON in the state.

“We do not have a regular financial source to fund our activities,” he said.

He expressed disappointment over the non financial  assistance of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) for the hosting of  the conference of the national body of the group in the state.

“Perhaps the next executive committee could explore other avenues to raise funds for support,” the ovie said and thanked members for their support while he was the chairman of TROMPCON in the state.
