Iposu Chieftaincy Family Hails IGP For Upholding Rule Of Law

The Iposu Chieftancy family in Epe Division of Lagos has commended the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mallam Alkali Baba for upholding the rule of law by taking proactive measures in restoring land at T-Junction in Epe to the rightful owner.
Mr. Sharafadeen Iposu, the spokesperson of the Iposu family in Epe, hailed the IGP in a statement issued on behalf of the family and made available to the newsmen.
The family, while expressing gratitude to the Inspector General of Police for his fearless, firmness and objectivity towards discharging his duties to the best of his knowledge and in upholding the rule of law.

It would be recalled that the family land at the T-Junction in Epe division was erroneously locked up by the police on the misleading Information of Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun to the Force Criminal Investigative Department (CID), in Abuja that there would be break of peace and order if the land is released to the rightful owner.
The competent court of jurisdiction sitting in Epe had earlier ruled against Oba Animashaun application for interlocutory injection to prevent the lposu Chieftaincy family from entering their land pending the matter in court.
“We want to commend IGP Alkali Baba and his police management team for their sincere efforts towards upholding the rule of law despite all challenges .
“We appeal to the IGP to sustain this operational strategies and fairness in discharging his lawful duties, indeed, this is a good exemplary,” Iposu said
Iposu said that while commending the IGP, he appeal to the indigenes and of Epe division to deal with the Iposu Chieftaincy family directly in any of their lands within the jurisdictions.
