Ajede Lauds Okowa On Leadership, Infrastructural Development In Delta
…Calls For Completion Of Umuebu Road Project
…Says Ukwuani LGA Needs A Stadium
…Pledges 100% Support, Loyalty To Okowa’s Government
The Executive Chairman, Ukwuani Local Government, Hon (Barr) C.S Possible Ajede, has heaped glowing commendations on Governor Okowa Ifeanyi for giving him and other Chairmen as well as his appointees the platform to leverage on to contribute their little quota in ensuring that he finishes strong while building a stronger Delta for all Deltans.
Barr Ajede who spoke recently in Obiaruku, thanked the governor for his unparalleled multifaceted infrastructural developmental strides across the state, adding that his SMART Leadership style and result-oriented approach to governance has made Delta State a leading example to other states in the country.
The pragmatic council boss gave this commendations yesterday while playing host to the Special Adviser to the Governor, Directorate of Local Government, Delta State, Hon Prince Kelly Penavwon in his office at the council Secretariat in Obiaruku.
In his welcome address, Barr Ajede noted that Governor Okowa’s legacies on every aspect of governance has been inspirational to him hence within his first 100 days in office, he embarked on and completed the reconstruction and modernization of Obi-Obeti Market, Obeti, reconstruction of two (2) 6 and 4 classrooms and offices at Ethiope Primary School, Umutu and construction of 5 culverts at Ezhionum farm roads.
According to the chairman, as part of his #StepUpUkwuaniAgenda, the following capital projects are currently ongoing – construction of Obiaruku City Stadium; construction of Ultra-Modern Legislative Office Complex, Construction of Ultra-Modern Local Education Authority Office Complex and the construction of a modern Abauteur – which he said shall be completed in record time too.

Meanwhile, Barr Ajede thanked His Excellency Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for the ongoing construction of Eziokpor Road, construction of multi-billion naira bridge in Obiaruku and many other of his landmark projects spread across Ukwuani LGA.
He however appealed to the governor to assist the council in the ongoing construction of the stadium which he said, “Ukwuani people are in dire need of a stadium”
Also, he prayed the state government to consider the completion of the Umuebu Road construction project.
On Security, Environmental Sanitation, Agriculture, Human Capital Development, Sports, Education and Primary Health Care, the chairman disclosed some of his many plans for the bettering of the Ukwuani people.
He also pledged his unswerving loyalty and unflinching support to the Okowa’s led administration of the state to ensure that the governor finishes strong while adding that as Okowa leads he follows as well as the Ukwuani people.
In his speech, Hon Prince Kelly Penavwon commended and congratulated the Ukwuani Council Chairman for everything he has done for Ukwuani people within his 100 days in office and all that he has lined up to do for his people.
He however urged the council to ensure that the local government is kept clean at all times even as he encouraged that the monthly Environmental Sanitation be observed regularly.
Also, he noted that peace and security and primary health care are vital areas the council boss should look into.
Highlights of the visit was a tour round the construction site of the Ultra-Modern Legislative Office Complex.
